Because sometimes forgiveness is not easy…
We live in a fallen world and we all have a sin nature.
We are an imperfect people. We were created by a perfect God, given a free will, because only love from a free will is real love. This is why we have been given a free will, so we can choose to love God. He doesn’t force us to love Him. He loves us unconditionally, but it is our choice to reciprocate.
Because of this free will and our sin nature (from the fall of man) sometimes our choices hurt other people. There is always a consequence to our choices. Often the consequence has a ripple effect, it affects more than just ourselves, sometimes it passes through generations.
So, we wonder why do bad things happen to seemingly good people? Why is innocence stolen from children? Why are hearts broken from infidelity? Why?
